 Associate Pastor Dave Klingensmith

/files/Dale's Folder/Image Folder/DSC_0094_edited.JPGDave is the Associate Pastor of Worship and Youth at Sandy Hill. Dave and his wife Bel have been happily married for eight years and are enjoying their son Isaiah, a true miracle from God, who was born on March 20, 2006. Dave met Bel at Sandy Hill and they grew close through serving on the Worship Music Team, and joining the same Small Group. Bel majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish at Goshen College, where she earned her undergraduate degree. Her passions are music, reading, and GOOD COFFEE! The family lives together in Gap, Pennsylvania.

Dave came to Sandy Hill in 1975. He attended throughout his childhood and youth, with regular involvement. As an , he became a member and increased his involvement in active ministry. Then, during his course of study at Lancaster Bible College, he began to serve as a lay leader. Following God’s call to Ministry, Dave was installed as a half-time Worship Pastor in September, 2003. Since then, the Lord has led him to Youth Ministry and led the church to call him to full-time ministry, adding Youth Ministry oversight to his responsibilities. He is firmly seeking God's continual leading for life and ministry.
Dave has a passion for music, which he and Bel share at Sandy Hill. In fact, before he felt the call to ministry, Dave was a full-time musician. His other passion is Bible study. He studied both music and Bible at Lancaster Bible College where he received his B.S. When he is not engaged in those two things, Dave likes playing with Isaiah, driving Bel crazy with random information, looking like a tired-old man on the basketball court and "Philosophizing" with Bel and close friends.

Dave and Bel are enjoying life at Sandy Hill and love the people there…especially because Sandy Hill’s people love Isaiah like their own child. They are continually grateful for the love and support they receive from so many. Their plan is to serve as long as it continues to please the Lord and blesses the congregation.
