Meet the Elders
Elders play an important role at Sandy Hill
providing leadership, oversight and Bible Teaching.
Below you will meet the Elders and be able to find out some important
background information about them.

Rick McCrorie
(Elder)
Rick and Marla moved from Anchorage, Alaska to Pennsylvania in 2020 after Rick retired from a 40 year banking career. They have two adult sons who live in Colorado and Washington state with their wives. Their daughter is a full-time student who lives at home.
Rick has served churches in a number of capacities; most often in church finance, adult christian education and worship technology.
Rick has a finance degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. Marla has degrees in elementary education and Biblical Archaeology from Philadelphia College of the Bible.
Ben Woodard
(Elder)
Ben Woodard and his wife, Karen have been a part of Sandy Hill for over twenty years. All 4 of his boys went to the preschool here.
Ben graduated from Twin Valley High School. He works at a pump manufacturing plant in the Exton area. He enjoys puzzles, games and hiking. He would love to see Sandy Hill grow and mature. To become the Godly men and women that God has called us to be.
Tom Bergmaier
(Elder)
Tom trusted Christ as his Savior when he was 20. He attended Calvary Fellowship Church in Downingtown where he served in many different ministries during his time there, primarily in youth ministry.
In 2016 Tom and his wife Cyndy began attending Sandy Hill. He’s been serving here by playing guitar on the worship team, helping at Pantry of Plenty, and helping on projects during church work days.
Tom is a self-employed carpenter and father of four grown children.
